On the 21st, YG Entertainment officially announced that TREASURE will release their Japanese debut album THE FIRST STEP : TREASURE EFFECT on March 31st. This will be the Japanese version of TREASUREŌĆÖs first full-length album, THE FIRST STEP : TREASURE EFFECT, which recorded 280,000 sales in copies. A total of 13 songs including the Japanese versions of all 12 songs as well as their first original Japanese song ŌĆ£BEAUTIFULŌĆØ will be carried on the album. ŌĆ£BEAUTIFULŌĆØ is also the ending theme song of Black Clover, a popular anime series. TREASURE had been receiving keen attention from JapanŌĆÖs local media and fans since its early days. The news of their show, YG TREASURE BOX, and the debut was reported in real-time on Japanese media. Though this is only their beginning, TREASUREŌĆÖs popularity and growth potential in Japan have been proven through the figures. From their debut song ŌĆ£BOY,ŌĆØ to ŌĆ£I LOVE YOU,ŌĆØ ŌĆ£MMM,ŌĆØ and ŌĆ£MY TREASURE,ŌĆØ the 4 series of THE FIRST STEP have all topped JapanŌĆÖs major music charts. Furthermore, out of 1 million copies sold from THE FIRST STEP series, 26% were from Japan. This is the same percentage as those from Korea.
